Episode 8 (Rescue Me)

WARNING: EPISODE CONTAINS MILD VIOLENCE, INJURIES, AND BULLYING.

I jumped in the portal, hoping with all my might the alphas and my other two friends were safe. I landed in the dark corridor with the room at the end where Foxy and Peck had been. But I looked into the door and no one was in there. I recognized the same phantom sunflower where I had hidden. Suddenly, I remembered Mr. Blizzard locking up the alphas in one of the doors on the right side. But which one was it? I looked through the first one and saw den betas, spiked collars, alpha swords, headdresses, and lots of black long wristbands. I also saw the Princess Necklace I'd thrown to the phantoms to protect Foxy! The next room was kind of creepy. There was blood everywhere, empty cages, and lots of phantom goop. I shuddered and moved to the next one.

I looked in and saw Liza! She wasn't bleeding, but she was in a cage and she didn't see me. Suddenly I heard a monkey screech. Graham! I ran to the first door and peeked in. The King was holding him down and scarring him with his spiked wristband like he had done to me. I didn't want Graham to end up like Foxy and Peck! I heard Mira's voice again. "Scarlet. I believe in you. Do what YOU can do. Now." With Mira's voice in my heart, I kicked the door open. "What the-?" The king said. "I thought Mr. Blizzard had captured you!" Graham looked relieved. For a second, I didn't know what to do. Then I had an idea. I put on a terrified expression and looked like I was about to run out the door. As the king charged toward me, I suddenly showed my fangs and sunk my teeth into one of his tentacles. I grabbed one of his spikes and took it off, then I flung it at his heart. He yelped in pain but still could grab me around the neck. "Why, you-" he slammed me face first on the concrete floor. OW! I felt like I had broken my nose, but I couldn't give up!! I got back up and kicked him directly in the center of his heart.

He yowled and fell to the ground."Hurry, Graham! Help me save Liza!" I ran to the room Liza was in and tugged on the door. Dang, it was locked! "I can pick this," Graham smiled as he took out a screwdriver that was in his hair. "Wow!" I marveled as in a matter of seconds the door swung open. "Graham! Scarlet!" Liza said. "Liza! Are you okay?" I asked. "Oh, I'm fine," Liza said. "Good," I said.  "Peck and Foxy are at the medical center and we still need to save Sir Gilbert, Greely, Cosmo, Tavie, Coconut, and Seashell," I said quickly. "Hurry! Let's look through every door until we find everyone," Graham said, rubbing his sore back. Graham freed Liza then we quietly crept out. I peeked inside the doorway where Graham was and saw the king was still knocked out. Relieved, I went back through the long corridor with the two alphas by my side.

We went down another dirty hallway. We rounded a corner and I saw a door with two large guard phantoms with spears. "Something important must be in there," I whispered. "And those 'somethings' might be our friends!" Liza said."How are we going to divert them from us?" I asked. "I have an idea," said Graham. He unclipped a small tube from his belt. "I stole this when we were here last month," he said. "It has phantom liquid in it- it can turn you into a phantom! So, I'll pretend to show the guards something really important, then you two hurry and rescue whoever is in there! "

"Graham, you're a genius," Liza swooned. "Thanks," Graham blushed. "Here, help me pour this all over me," Quickly, we dumped the goop on Graham.  He gave us a screwdriver to unlock the door. Before he turned into a phantom, he said "Hide until we are both out of sight," Suddenly, Graham was a phantom- a black, slimy, disgusting, smelly phantom! He winked and rushed over to the guard. We hid behind a pile of cages in a corner. We heard Graham communicating the way phantoms do (that "gyaa" noise) and finally the footsteps were gone. We quickly tiptoed to the door. It took Liza and me 28 seconds to unlock the door, but who's counting? We swung it open, and luckily, Sir Gilbert, Coconut, Greely, Cosmo, and Tavie were all in cages, with no blood. They seemed relieved. "Guys! Peck and Foxy almost died, but Scarlet saved them." Liza said proudly. I could see a look of approval in all of the alphas' eyes.

"I..need..to..get..home...to..water.." Tavie gasped. Oh no! I had forgotten she was a dolphin! "I'll take her to the oceans as quick as I can," Cosmo said. "Be careful. Do you know where the portal is?" Coconut asked, but he had already disappeared, lugging Tavie's cage. "Where is Graham?" Sir Gilbert asked. "He turned into a phantom to distract the guards. Hopefully, he will make it back safely," I said. "Everyone, hurry to the portal! And stay hidden!" Greely said, after Graham had freed everyone. Luckily, we reached the portal without any trouble. One by one, the alphas jumped in. "Nice job, Scarlet." Coconut said, as she was the last one. "You saved everyone." Everyone. I let that word sink in. "OH NO! I FORGOT ABOUT SEASHELL!" I said, trying not to scream. "Dang, Scarlet, calm down. Let's go, quickly. The alphas might worry about us," Coconut said.

We ran (yes, ran) through all the hallways, peering through each door, dodging phantoms by hiding. Soon, we saw a large phantom carrying a cage. Seashell! She looked hurt, but not too bad. Seashell caught my eye and made a "help!" motion. "OK, let's-" I whispered, but Coconut had already dashed and had tripped the phantom! Surprised, it dropped Seashell, which busted the lock open. Unfortunately, the guard had grabbed Coconut! Before I could do anything, he hurled Coconut against a wall. I don't think he had seen me or remembered Seashell, because he hobbled away, cursing.

We ran over to Coconut. "ARE YOU OKAY?!" I asked. What a stupid question. Coconut looked like she had broken every bone in her body. She couldn't even say anything except groan in pain. She looked like worse than Foxy and Peck had been! Luckily, we made it back to the portal safely, carrying Coconut. Unluckily, I didn't know if she would survive...

Episode 7 (Scars)

WARNING: EPISODE CONTAINS VIOLENCE, MILD LANGUAGE, BULLYING, AND EMOTIONAL SCENES.

"You coming, Scarlet?" Greely asked. I hadn't realized everyone except the two of us hadn't jumped in the portal. "Oh. Yeah." My voice cracked drily and another depression hormone was released. "I know this is hard, Scarlet, but we are going to try to save her, I promise you!" he smiled. "Whatever." His smile disappeared. "Oh My Zios! I JUST SAID WHATEVER TO AN ALPHA!" one of my thoughts said. "Let's go," He gruffly said and jumped in. We landed in the same place where we had left, but all the phantoms were gone. Mr. Blizzard and Snaps were nowhere to be seen. "Hmm, I wonder where they went," Cosmo said. "HELP!" A very quiet scream that sounded like Peck came from one of the corridors near us, followed by a "SHUT UP!' and Peck screaming in pain. "Come on!" We ran to dark room with a door where a lot of noise was coming from. We peeked in the door's window and were shocked. The King was clenching Peck in one hand, Foxy in another. For the first time in my life I swore as another depression hormone was released in my brain. Peck was dripping in blood and crying and Foxy was bleeding horribly too. "There has got to be at least a hundred phantoms in there!" Seashell whispered. I heard a whip crack and Foxy screaming. I swore again and clenched my fists.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps. "Hide!" Greely said. I ran behind  a phantom sunflower. "Well, well well. It looks like the alphas came back for dessert!" It was Mr. Blizzard! I heard some chains being thrown on everyone-but Mr. Blizzard forgot about me! "The king will be coming in to torture you in a few minutes. Have a nice day." I heard a door slam. I trembled for at least 10 minutes after the King left the room Foxy and Peck were in once I was sure all of the phantoms were gone. I came out from my hiding spot and threw open the door. Foxy and Peck lay unconscious on the floor. "FOXY!!!" I whispered. "PECK!" Foxy's eyelids fluttered open. "Scarlet. Save the others. Don't worry about me. I don't matter. I don't protect Jamaa. They do. Focus on Peck. Not me. I love you, Scarlet." "No! I can't let you go!" I picked her up, blood flowing from huge open wounds.

"Foxy?" Her breathing had slowed. "Wwwaat." "I'm taking you and Peck to Gabby's animal hospital.. I'll get the other alphas later." "And if I don't make it remember me," Foxy said. I scooped up Peck and after seeing her wounds too my heart felt like it shattered into a million pieces. Suddenly, I heard a voice. "Scarlet. Get them to safety. I know you can do it. Zios and I are proud of you. The others are okay for now. Just focus on saving them first." It was Mira! I thanked her and without running into any phantoms, jumped into the Kimbara Outback portal. I left Foxy and Peck inside without saying anything except "Please keep them safe and help them," before dashing out. I ran a few miles to Jamaa Township, and luckily the phantom portal was still on the ground by Mira.

Episode 6 (Tavie to the Rescue)

WARNING: EPISODE CONTAINS MILD VIOLENCE AND BULLYING.
"First, we are going to drink Sir Gilbert's power." Shadow cackled. A team of phantoms threw Sir Gilbert into a pod. "NO!!!" Peck tried to run but a mean phantom hit her on the head. "This will only take 5 minutes," Mr. Blizzard appeared, and attached some tubes to the poor tiger's heart. He sighed and closed his eyes. Mr. Blizzard pressed a button and he let out a roar of pain. All of the alphas, and Foxy, Cinnamon, Seashell, and me had tears in our eyes. The phantoms that were holding us were so strong there was no way we could escape their grasp. There was a depressing timer that said "Time until Dead" and  it now read 4 minutes. I cursed the phantoms as Snaps cackled on the sideline.

Suddenly, the padlocked door to the arena burst open! IT WAS TAVIE THE DOLPHIN ALPHA! "Seems like while I was running Tiki Trouble you forgot to capture me!" The King looked surprised. "GET HER!!" He screeched at the guard phantoms. They charged at her but she started playing a song on her seashell ukulele! It produced a sound wave that knocked the phantoms, even the King, into a large heap near Sir Gilbert! Tavie hopped on her tail, pressed the "Release" button and helped Sir Gilbert out. "Oh my goodness, are you okay?" I squealed. "I think so, Scarlet..." he flexed his feet and sighed. "Tavie, thank you so much!" "It's nothing," she said. "The phantoms forgot to steal your necklace that showed me where you were. That poor bunny in tiki trouble won't get to give me her pearls today." She threw back her head and laughed. "How can she laugh when we are still in the phantom fortress!" I wondered. "How do we get out of here?" Foxy asked. "Oh, we've been in the fortress tons of times before. Just go to the portals leading into the lands and we'll be home soon." Liza said.

We had forgotten Mr. Blizzard and Snaps were not knocked out! "THIS ISN'T OVER!" Mr. Blizzard yelled. "HURRY!" Cosmo hustled us all into the portal. I prayed all of us were safe as I fell in the portal before I heard a bloodcurdling scream. "REMEMBER ME SCARLLLLEEEEETTTTT!" We all landed in Jamaa Township, trampled by some arctic wolfs screaming "TRADE ME!!!" We ran into the deserted area by Mira. Sir Gilbert nervously said, "Cosmo, Liza, Graham, Tavie, Greely, Scarlet, Seashell, Coconut, WHERE ARE PECK AND FOXY?!" My heart stopped. "F-fox-y?" "We need to go back there!" Peck is one of us!" Cosmo said. "What about my sister?" I asked. "Oh Scarlet, we'll try our best." Greely said. Graham ran to his den to get  a teleportal to the phantom fortress that he had stolen from a phantom. For the first time in my life, a depression hormone was released in my normally happy brain. I cried and curled up into a ball.
